Foley and Mansfield Litigation Scholarship
In Memory of Stephen Foley ‘84 (1958-2014)
The Foley and Mansfield Litigation Scholarship is meant to provide a financial incentive for law school bound students from underrepresented groups to consider litigation as a future career in law. The scholarship is intended to diversify the pipeline of future litigators in the legal profession.
The student must be 1) a student in their 1L year 2) from an underrepresented group (BIPOC or LGTBQ+) and 3) submit an essay of less than 250 words on why they believe litigation would be an interesting or suitable career.
Mitchell Hamline staff will collect essays and select two finalists for the firm to consider and interview. The recipient will be awarded $5000 by Foley and Mansfield to relieve the financial burden of attending law school.
The deadline for essay submission is Friday, September 17, 2021. Send your essay to finaid@mitchellhamline.edu, and include your first and last name at the top.
