If you are interested in business, business law, or health law; then consider joining a three-person team to compete at the National Health Law Transactional Moot Court Competition.
This is a 2-credit spring 2022 opportunity. The problem is released in January 2022. You and your team then draft a client memo in January and February. After submitting the memo, you will hone your oral presentation of your advice (typically about a merger/acquisition). The competition is in Chicago in mid-March. And then you are done.
DESCRIPTION This competition exposes law students to the core competencies of the corporate and regulatory practice of health care law. Students will apply transactional lawyering skills and regulatory analysis by providing legal advice on a potential business opportunity to a health care client.
Students prepare a 25-page legal memorandum that summarizes their legal and business advice for the client.
Students then appear in a boardroom environment before distinguished attorneys to present their analysis of the client’s position and recommendations on how the client should proceed.
