RSVP: “Is there an immigration crisis: how did we get here, and where are we going?”
The Mitchell Hamline ACLU Student Chapter and the Immigration Law Student Organization are excited to co-host a discussion on immigration. Meal vouchers will be provided in accordance with COVID-19 protocols and will be limited in number. The evening will begin with “How we got here, a historical perspective” lead by Dr. Jimmy Patiño from the University of Minnesota. Next, Susana De León of De León, Nestor & Torres will provide insights into the legal issues immigration lawyers face in their work. Finally, Julia Decker, Policy Director for ACLU-MN, will highlight some policy issues that indicate where immigration law is going. Please join us for an informative conversation on immigration law.
