Winthrop & Weinstine, P.A./Energy Fellowship and Externship for Spring 2022

In Spring 2022, Winthrop and Weinstine will host a Mitchell Hamline student for an Energy Fellowship and Externship.
The selected student will:
• Participate in renewable energy solar development transactions and other renewable energy work, including participating in weekly client calls, drafting transaction documents, reviewing due diligence, and other legal analysis related to renewable energy development and financial incentives.
• Students from diverse and historically under represented backgrounds are encouraged to apply for this position.
• Diversity, prior professional experience, transcripts, cover letter, interest in renewable energy and transactional law, will be included in consideration and evaluation of candidates.
• Eligible applicants include 2L and 3L students attending Mitchell Hamline.
• Applicants should have (1) completed Property Law, and (2) either completed, or have concurrent enrollment in, (i) Business Organizations, or (ii) Secured Transactions.
The Energy Fellow will be required to commit 90 hours per semester, with a minimum of 5 hours in person / in the Minneapolis office each week.
