This webinar examines the genocide in former Yugoslavia; its causes and consequences; and the lifelong impact on survivor-victims. We will hear from three speakers, all Yugoslavians who lived through the genocide, and who come from the three ethno-religious groups that fought for control of the country.
They all work in human rights today.
- Velma Šarić is the founder and president of the Post-Conflict Research Center in Bosnia.
- Dragana Vidovic, Ph.D., is a Senior Research Officer at the University of Essex, UK.
- Dragana Glumac works for the FBI, including six years at the International Human Rights Unit in Washington, D.C.
The webinar is open to the public: $10 general public, $5 students and seniors, $25 for Minnesota lawyers for 2 ‘elimination of bias’ CLE credits, and free to Mitchell Hamline law students. Clock hours are available for teachers, nurses, and social workers.
