The 2023 Summer Legal Intern Program
The FDIC’s Legal Intern Program provides valuable and challenging professional opportunities for outstanding law school students. Our goal is to provide our interns (law clerks) with a better understanding of the FDIC’s role in our financial system while providing an opportunity for public service. Within one section of the Legal Division, law clerks are assigned to a variety of duties and projects that will provide significant legal experience.
As an FDIC law clerk, you will contribute to maintaining confidence in our nation’s financial system and learn financial institutions regulatory law from the inside out. In addition, you may be exposed to areas of law atypical to most government practice that will serve you well wherever your career takes you.
The FDIC Legal Division will be posting a 2023 Legal Division Summer Intern Vacancy Announcement for positions at Headquarters in Washington, DC, and the Atlanta, GA and San Francisco, CA regional offices early next week (link to follow), with application deadline of mid-February. These are paid positions, not for school credit. For more information on both programs, please see the descriptions below.
More information can be found here about the Legal Intern Program.
Due to the timing, we strongly encourage students interested in applying to the internship posting to attend the informational session this coming Wednesday to learn more about the opportunity.
