Calling all animal lovers! Are you interested in joining a community that is dedicated to advocating and improving laws related to animals and their environment? Then the MSBA Animal Law Section is for you! Its members enjoy many benefits, including opportunities for legal education through CLEs and other events. The section is free for law students to join! Click here to learn more and join the section: https://www.mnbar.org/members/sections/animal-law-section
Additionally, the MSBA Animal Law Section is currently seeking new Section Council members. Law students are encouraged to join the leadership of the section. The commitment to the council is fairly minimal, with monthly Zoom meetings to organize section-sponsored projects including CLE programs and social events, set policy for the Section, and to support special causes (usually lasts 1 hour). This would be a great resume builder for any law student! For general info on council membership, please click section council description.
Persons interested in serving on the council may nominate themselves or accept nomination by another member of the section. Nominations should include:
- Nominee’s name and email;
- Nominee’s bio or link to bio (including firm/organization);
- Short statement of interest; and
- Nominator’s name and contact information if different from nominee.
Please submit all nominations by email to Yajaira Lansiquot at ylansiquot@mnbars.org. The deadline is Wednesday, May 25, 2023. This year’s annual election meeting date will be in June.
