Student Services (2 Positions)
Location: Student Service – HyFlex
Supervisor: Brittany Johnson, Program Coordinator

Expected Hour of Work: Up to 10 hours per week. Schedules and evaluations will be discussed with your supervisor.
Length of Employment: Spring 2023 – Summer 2023, with the option to continue for eligible students.
Rate of Pay: The Student Services work study employee is compensated at the applicable federal work study rate. Work study eligibility can be confirmed with the Mitchell Hamline Office of Financial Aid.
Eligibility: The student must be in good academic standing with Mitchell Hamline School of Law, work-study eligible, and successfully able to support the activities of the Student Services office.
Positions Available: Two (2)
Purpose of the Job:
The Student Worker position is responsible for supporting the administrative personnel in the Student Services office in providing excellent customer service for Mitchell Hamline students.
Duties and Responsibilities:
To provide administrative support to the personnel of the department including the following:
· General Office Assistance including, but not limited to:
o Scheduling meetings and appointments
· Assist with administration for Student Organizations and Events including, but not limited to:
o Ordering items for Student Organizations and Affinity Group events
o Gathering upcoming events information for Student Organization newsletter
· Special Projects:
o Communications – Assist in gathering data about the best ways to communicate important information with students. Data includes identifying where students go to find their information, generating ideas of areas of improvement, etc.
o Prep Week and Capstone assistance – Assist in meeting caterers for lunches, making name tags, table tents, attendance sheets, and wayfinding signs, and making coffee.
o Student captioning and transcript support
o Disability Services projects as assigned
Qualifications and Required Skills:
· Desire to work in a creative, self-directed, and demanding position.
· Ability to communicate effectively with staff, students, and others who contact the office.
· Office experience with programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel necessary.
· Ability to handle confidential information. Confidential information must never be released, removed from school premises, copied, transmitted, or in any other way used by student employees for any purpose outside the scope of their employment or revealed to other employees, students or non-school persons without the express written consent of the school. This includes information stored on the school’s computer equipment.
· Knowledge of and experience with gathering data is preferred, but not required.
