In July, a military junta in Niger deposed Niger’s democratically-elected president, the 6th coup in Africa’s Sahel region since 2020.
Dr. Ellen Kennedy, Executive Director, World Without Genocide, will speak about the influence of Russia and China in Niger, Niger’s uranium resources for making nuclear weapons, devastating droughts and food insecurity, and justice mechanisms at the UN, the region, and the US.
The program is open to the public: free to MH students (Diversity Credits are available), $10 general public, $5 students and seniors, and $25 for MN lawyers for 1 CLE credit.
