Please remember to save all work-related files to one of the network drives, preferably your H (personal) or G (groups) drives. These drives are backed up numerous times a day and any files that are accidentally deleted, overwritten, or misplaced can be restored in minutes in most cases. However, files that are on your laptop or desktop are not automatically backed up. If your work resides solely on your computer’s hard drive and it is stolen or damaged, your files may be lost forever. Please take a moment to consider where your files are being stored and make sure all work-related files reside on (or are backed up to) one of the network drives. If you work off-site you need to use a VPN client to access the network and your drives are not automatically mapped. If you are unfamiliar with this process or you have questions about anything else, please contact the IT department.
