Ahead of the Curve Early Bar Prep Program
The Ahead of the Curve program is a bar prep program designed by Academic Excellence for students to complete during their final semester of law school. Students are assigned to a bar prep tutor who works with students during the semester. The Ahead of the Curve program allows students to lengthen the runway for their bar studies by working to recap the law on bar topics and practice and improve their exam-taking skills on all parts of the bar exam. The Office of Academic Excellence will reach out to all students at the start of their final semester to invite them to participate.
Post-Grad Bar Prep Tutoring
Graduates signed up for bar prep tutoring meet with a tutor once or twice a week to prepare for the bar exam. Prior to each session, graduates are assigned real past bar exam essays, MPTs, or MBEs to complete under test conditions and email to the tutor before the session. The tutor returns the graduate’s work with extensive written or audio comments. The tutor and graduate then meet for 1:1 instruction tailored to the graduate’s areas of deficiency. This process repeats until a student is earning at least 90% of the points on their practice questions. The Office of Academic Excellence will reach out to all students who didn’t participate in the Ahead of the Curve Early Bar Prep Program at the end of their final semester to invite them to participate.
Crush the Bar: Skills and Substance Workshops
