Ernst and Young is now accepting applicants for the Young Tax Professional of the Year (YTPY) Competition! YTPY gives successful students a chance to display a wide range of tax, legal and general business knowledge as well as analytical and presentation skills in a case study contest. You will compete with other high performers from more than 25 countries around the world. YTPY is a 2-part competition – first, here in the US at the regional level and then in Amsterdam at the global level. Last year, Mitchell Hamline student Kristine Britven won this competition and went on to compete internationally against students from more than 28 countries! The US YTPY competition involves several steps: · Step 1: Click here to complete the application form by September 7, 2018 at 5:00 P.M. ET · Step 2: Students with a completed application will receive an email after the deadline detailing the next steps, which include answering several tax questions over video recording by September 14, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. ET · Step 3: Students with the top responses will be notified and invited to participate in a two-day, all-expenses paid competition in New York City on October 11-12, 2018. The competition will test verbal presentation and teaming skills and provide an opportunity to meet and network with EY tax practice and marketplace leaders · Step 4: The US winner will receive an all-expenses paid trip to the global competition in Amsterdam November 24-28, 2018 to compete with international students in a case study and simulated client presentation competition.
