The Minnesota State Bar Association (MSBA) Criminal Law Section has open positions for a first, second, or third-year law student with a strong interest in Criminal law to sit on its Council. This is an exciting opportunity to learn more about Criminal law, provide new ideas and perspectives, and develop relationships with the Criminal law community. The MSBA Criminal Law Section promotes the exchange of ideas between defense lawyers and prosecutors through educational programs and meetings.
The Council typically meets the first Wednesday of the month from 5:00 -6:30 PM. The meeting location is typically the Minnesota State Bar Association. This position requires MSBA membership, however, student membership at the MSBA is free, as well as the district and Criminal Law Section membership. The term of the appointment will remain until graduation.
