The Minnesota State Bar Association (MSBA) Public Law Section has one open position for a first or second year law student with a strong interest in public law to sit on its Council. This is an exciting opportunity to learn more about public law, provide new ideas and perspectives, and develop relationships with the public law community.
The Council typically meets the second Tuesday of the month from noon to 1:00 p.m. The meeting location is typically the League of Minnesota Cities in St. Paul (right off the Green Metro line). This position requires MSBA membership. Student membership at the MSBA is now free, as well as the district and Public Law Section membership. The term of the appointment will remain until graduation.
The MSBA Public Law Section Council develops and provides its members many benefits including Continuing Legal Education programs, a periodic newsletter Public Law News, community and public service activities, and opportunities for committee participation.
If you would like to fill this role, please send a current resume and a statement of interest to Abby Ward, MSBA Section Services Manager, at award@mnbars.org by Friday, February 7, 2020. Questions regarding the position or Council activities may be directed to Co-Chairs Amelia Jadoo at Amelia.Jadoo@CO.DAKOTA.MN.US or Justin Kwong at Justin.Kwong@state.mn.us.
