Leadership Council on Legal Diversity’s (LCLD)
The registration period for the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity’s (LCLD) 2021 Mentoring Program will open in September/October and opens in Indianapolis this month. The goal of the program is to ensure that talented first year law students receive the mentoring they need to maximize their potential, both during law school and afterwards as they prepare for the bar exam and launch their careers.
The Mentoring Program provides the following components:
• Individual Mentoring Program (IMP) is 1:1 matching with an LCLD Member attorney;
• Group Mentoring Program (GMP) is the opportunity to come together with other participants in your region for substantive events and to get to know each other;
• The opportunity to continue with your Mentor beyond the one year commitment; and
• New to the program this year is the option to register in the regional/local model for an in-person experience (pursuant to CDC guidelines) or the virtual/online model.
In an effort to provide this opportunity to as many first year diverse law students as possible, I would appreciate it if you would include this flyer with other information circulated to your first year law students prior to September 1, 2021.
If you or 1L Mentee candidates at your school have any questions about the program, please feel free to email me at Nancy Richardson, Program Manager at nrichardson@lcldnet.com
