Leadership Council on Legal Diversity’s (LCLD) 1L Scholars Program
The application period for the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity’s (LCLD) 2022 1L Scholars Program is now OPEN.
Designed to offer diverse, first-year law students the opportunity to spend a summer working side-by-side with attorneys from LCLD Member organizations, 165 (and counting) law firms and corporations will be hosting summer internships across the country.
In addition to a meaningful summer internship, 2022 1L Scholars also have the opportunity to benefit from:
• Attending the 2022 1L LCLD Virtual Scholars Summit on June 7-9, 2022, which helps students build leadership and networking skills. You can view the agenda from 2021 here as the agenda for 2022 is currently being created.
• Career-development resources and long-term connections with other 1L Scholars via the exclusive 1L LCLD Scholars LinkedIn group. 1L Scholars will be invited to join the LinkedIn group in spring 2022.
• Group Mentoring Program (GMP) events during the summer for 1L Scholars to continue to build their network and participate in professional development sessions.
