2L Summer Associate at Morris Music Law, PC
About Firm:

Primary Responsibilities:
-Contract drafting for a wide variety of music and entertainment industry agreements.
-Legal research pertaining to copyrights, trademarks, music licensing and royalties, and the formation or maintenance of business entities.
-Support the continuous improvement of standard form agreements and firm processes.
-Perform other related services in connection with clients’ activities in the entertainment industry as assigned.
Qualifications:
-Law student entering third year of law school pursuing a Juris Doctorate (JD) at an ABA accredited institution.
-Strong passion for music required. Being a musician is preferred.
-Extremely detail-oriented.
-Strong drafting, negotiating, analytical, and organization skills.
-Excellent independent judgment, as well as critical and strategic thinking.
-Team player with ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
-Self-starter who should be extremely comfortable working independently.
-Ability to consistently work under pressure in a professional manner.
-Responsiveness and ability to clearly and effectively communicate.
-Humility, and always being ready to adapt.
