The National Association of Bond Lawyers (NABL) is pleased to announce that it is once again offering up to five scholarships to law students through the Frederic L. Ballard, Jr. Memorial Scholarship Program to attend The Essentials 2023 conference. NABL exists to promote the integrity of the municipal market by advancing the understanding of and compliance with the law affecting public finance. NABL pursues its mission in several ways, including providing several annual educational programs relating to state and municipal bonds and other obligations.
A flagship educational program, The Essentials is designed for municipal finance professionals and market participants seeking a basic knowledge of municipal bond law and related municipal finance issues. This highly engaging conference will be held April 19-21, 2023, at the Hyatt Regency Baltimore Inner Harbor, Baltimore, MD. The Essentials 2023 program is in the final stages of development. To be eligible to receive a scholarship, an applicant must be currently enrolled in the Doctor of Jurisprudence Program or Masters of Law Program at an accredited law school located within the United States of America. Each scholarship includes:
(a) a waiver of the enrollment fee to the conference,the application.
(b) complimentary hotel lodging at the Hyatt Regency Baltimore Inner Harbor, (c) reimbursement of roundtrip airfare and (d) reimbursement of ground transportation to and from the scholarship recipient’s departing airport and to and from a local airport. Reimbursement for the items listed in clauses (c) and (d) are subject to the requirements set forth inPlease take a few minutes to review the application and conference information and pass this information on to qualified students at your institution.
