Happy Black History Month! The U.S. Department of Justice Association of Black Attorneys (DOJABA) invites members of the National Black Law Students Association nationwide for our seventh annual DOJABA Day on Friday, March 3, 2023, from 12 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. ET via Zoom.
DOJABA is an officially recognized affinity group of attorneys organized at the Department of Justice since 1989 with the mission of enhancing the professional environment of African American attorneys at DOJ and providing outreach and community support to those interested in the pursuit of law. Consistent with our mission, DOJABA is hosting our DOJABA Day outreach event, which includes: (1) an information session on pursuing internship and career opportunities at DOJ; (2) a résumé review and interview preparation workshop; (3) a panel of DOJABA members discussing their experience as attorneys at DOJ; and (4) a networking program with DOJABA members from various DOJ components.
DOJABA is also hosting an in-person networking reception in Washington, DC from 5:30 to 7:30 pm ET on Thursday, February 23, 2023. DOJABA Day law student participants are invited to register to attend by emailing info@dojaba.org with the subject line “DOJABA Day Reception” by February 20, 2023 to receive further information about the reception.
Please RSVP FOR DOJABA Day by March 1, 2023.
We hope that you will join us for DOJABA Day and that this program will be a launching pad for future careers at the Department of Justice. If you have any questions, please contact DOJABA Attorney Recruitment and Professional Development Committee Co-Chair, Roberta O. Roberts, Esq., at Roberta.O.Roberts2@usdoj.gov.
