The ABA Business Law Section will be holding its Section Spring Meeting on April 24-26, 2025 at the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel. We are pleased to invite law students from Mitchell Hamline School of Law to participate in this valuable meeting with a lot to offer students.
The Business Law Section Spring Meeting will be held April 24-26, 2025 at the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel, and the Section is pleased to invite law students to join. Meeting registration is complimentary for law students!
Students able join in person are invited to participate in the Law Student Scholar Program. This program is designed to help law students navigate Section Meetings and connect with practicing business lawyers to network and learn more about a career in business law. Participants in the Law Student Scholar Program receive:
- Virtual Orientation Meetings. The Law Student Committee is hosting two virtual orientations prior to the Spring Meeting, aimed at preparing students for and enhancing their conference experience. Additionally, students unable to attend in person can join committee meetings, including the Law Student Committee Meeting and Young Lawyer Committee Meeting, virtually.
- Networking Opportunities. Scholars will be invited to pre-meeting Zoom calls to get introduced to the Section, the Law Student Committee, and prepared for the Spring Meeting. Students will also participate in speed networking with accomplished professionals and attend networking receptions.
- Professional recognition. After completing the program requirements, each scholar will receive a certificate recognizing their participation in the program. Scholars are also encouraged to list involvement in this program on their resume.
- Enhanced law school experience. Scholars will receive continued opportunities for involvement in the ABA Business Law Section to help you stand out from your peers.
The program has been designed with law students’ busy schedules in mind. Required events can be completed in 1-3 days and students are invited to attend as many days of the meeting as they’d like! While the Spring Meeting has a virtual component, students will be required to attend at least 1 day in person to meet the program requirements.
