Legal Writing Assistants in the Research & Writing Center
Rising second, third, and fourth-year students are invited to apply to serve as Legal Writing Assistants (LWAs) in Mitchell Hamline’s Research & Writing Center for the fall semester of 2025. Experience as an LWA is a great way to demonstrate strong research and writing skills to prospective employers, especially law firms and judges.
Legal Writing Assistants will work with students one-on-one usually on Zoom. LWAs will help first-year students improve their analytical, research, and writing skills by providing tutoring related to assignments in LARC and occasionally other writing classes. The LWAs in this program will work primarily with Blended students.
