An increasing number of legal professionals are pursuing JD Advantage jobs either directly out of law school or later on in their legal careers. The National Association for Law Placement (NALP) has defined “JD Advantage” jobs as positions for which an employer seeks an individual with a JD, and perhaps even requires a JD, or for which the JD provides a demonstrable advantage in obtaining or performing the job, but the jobs do not require bar passage, an active law license or involve practicing law.
Hear from three attorneys working at Twin Cities-based companies UnitedHealth Group, Medtronic and Regis Corporation who will discuss the reasons they chose JD Advantage positions and how their law degrees have helped them in the business setting at their respective organizations.
Speakers
- Andy Roff, Medical Device Reporting Specialist for Medtronic
- Jennifer Grant, Liability Manager for Regis Corporation
