Registration and Cancellation Policy

A non-refundable seat deposit of $150 is required to secure a place in the program. Payment of the full tuition balance is due prior to the start of the program, unless otherwise noted and worked out with the program manager. Failure to pay the full tuition balance prior to the start of the program, or by the date agreed upon with program manager, is subject to legal action. Any additional costs as a result of legal action will be the responsibility of the registrant. An invoice will be emailed to registered participants. A 2.75% service fee will be assessed when paying via CASHNet with a credit or debit card (eChecks have no fee).

Students must register for, or drop a professional legal education program no later than 12 pm CST on the Friday immediately following the program’s start. Tuition may be refunded, if the drop request is received prior to 12 pm CST on the Friday immediately following the program’s start. Students who drop after 12 pm CST on the Friday immediately following the program’s start will be responsible for their remaining tuition balance.

Mitchell Hamline School of Law (MHSL) reserves the right to cancel the program or deny enrollment for any reason without notice. In the event of program cancellation or denial of enrollment, the liability of MHSL is limited to a full refund of all tuition and deposit paid. MHSL is not responsible for any other related costs under any circumstances. Refunds will be issued within 30 days of the refund event.

MHSL will not provide a refund of tuition or seat deposit to anyone registered who does not participate in or complete the program. One transfer to a subsequent date of the program will be permitted, provided space is available and requests are received by the deadline. Requests for transfers/deferrals must be documented in writing and sent to Katie.Olson@mitchellhamline.edu no later than 11:59 p.m. CST on the last day of the mid-term break. Deferral requests received after the deadline will not be considered and will be denied. Requests for transfers must be documented in writing and sent to Katie.Olson@mitchellhamline.edu. Transfer requests received after the program has begun, may be subject to a non-refundable administrative fee equal to 10% of the full program tuition.

Mitchell Hamline School of Law is registered with the Minnesota Office of Higher Education pursuant to Minnesota Statutes sections 136A.61 to 136A. 71. Registration is not an endorsement of the institution. Credits earned at the institution may not transfer to all other institutions.
