Mitchell Hamline is again fielding a team at the Jeffrey Miller National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition, organized by Pace University Law School. Applications are due September 27th, 2024 at 5pm.
Students chosen for the Mitchell Hamline team will write an appellate brief on several contemporary issues in environmental law, chosen by the sponsoring organization . The brief is written without faculty or other assistance and is due no later than November 21, 2024. Students will then develop oral arguments with the assistance of their coaches ahead of the preliminary oral arguments on February 20, 2025. Team members should plan to invest substantial time each week working on the brief and preparing for oral arguments. The team is coached by Mr. Joseph Heegaard — a former member of MHSL’s Pace team. Students must have completed their first year to be considered. Students receive 2 credits.
