This competition focuses on the skills needed to counsel clients effectively. The competitions simulate meetings with clients. Participants interview and counsel actors who pose as clients an have their work critiqued by peers, faculty, and practitioners. As long as they continue to win, participants can compete at four levels: intra-school, regional, national, and international. At each level, teams of two students work together to solve problems presented by actor/clients. Students who go to the regional receive one credit. The first level of competition, intra-school, is in the fall semester. This competition is open to all students who have completed their first year.
