Mitchell Hamline will host a full-day conference, presented by the Legal Revolution, on November 30 to discuss the many new laws passed in Minnesota this year that relate to criminal justice reform and how they’ll reshape the landscape.
The in-person CLE (7.0 standard credits pending) will feature community, legal, and legislative subject matter experts, including Professors Brad Colbert ’85 and Jon Geffen ’97. Minnesota’s top election official, Secretary of State Steve Simon, is among the confirmed speakers, along with state Rep. Cedrick Frazier ’07, who will deliver the keynote.
Conversations will include changes to Minnesota law in the areas of pardons/commutations, expungements, cannabis, restoring the vote, juvenile resentencing, felony murder reform, prosecution-initiated resentencing, and the Minnesota Rehabilitation and Reinvestment Act.
