After a national search, Mitchell Hamline School of Law is pleased to announce Kent Spaulding as its new vice president of institutional advancement. Spaulding will officially join the Mitchell Hamline community on April 7, bringing more than 25 years of leadership experience in higher education and health care fundraising, communications, and relationship management.
“I look forward to welcoming Kent onto Mitchell Hamline’s leadership team,” said President and Dean Camille Davidson. “Kent brings an important perspective and robust experience that will help propel Mitchell Hamline forward as we continue to engage with alumni, support students through scholarships, and connect with our donors and friends to enhance programs and legal education through philanthropy.”
Spaulding will join Mitchell Hamline from North Memorial Health. During his tenure as vice president of development and chief development officer over the past decade, he played a pivotal role in establishing robust fundraising systems and enhancing volunteer services, significantly contributing to the growth and success of North Memorial Health Foundation. Prior to that role, Spaulding served in fundraising and communications positions in higher education and health care at Ridgeview Medical, Southeast Technical College, and the University of Minnesota.
“I am excited to join the Mitchell Hamline team and look forward to working with Dean Davidson as she continues to grow engagement efforts with alumni and the community. I am honored to have the opportunity to support her vision and to lead the advancement program,” said Spaulding.
