Soon you will no longer receive emails sent to old @wmitchell.edu addresses. The wmitchell.edu domain will be removed from the internet on Dec. 23, 2016 to return to compliance with the following U.S. Department of Commerce/EDUCAUSE rule: Only a single name in the .edu domain will be assigned to any given institution. We have been allowed to retain the second domain name during the transition period.

Beginning Dec. 23, 2016, the @wmitchell.edu domain name will be deactivated, and any emails sent to @wmitchell.edu addresses will no longer be received. Please update your online address book(s) to our new mitchellhamline.edu domain name. Use the same firstname.lastname protocol before the @, but change wmitchell.edu to mitchellhamline.edu. For the 30 days preceding the Dec 23 cut-off, we will be sending this automated Out of Office reply to all emails sent to @wmitchell.edu addresses:

Note to Mitchell Hamline students: Upon graduation and becoming a Mitchell Hamline alum, you’ll be able to retain your @mitchellhamline.edu email address. As a graduate, you’ll have all the benefits of an outlook.com email account (minus the Office 365 and OneDrive subscription).
