I attended HUSL as a weekend student and was in Professor Mary Jane Morrison’s Seminar (long paper) course as a 3L. My first assignment did not meet the professor’s standards. Upon receiving the assignment back with the grade and comments, I set up a one-on-one meeting to determine what I need to do to successfully complete the course. As a result of that meeting I was able to meet the professor’s and my own expectations as the course progressed. At the end of the course I received one of my best grades. The meeting with the professor was very impactful for me as it gave both of us an understanding of what each us needs to do and the results were fantastic.
