Jennell Bilek Named a Notable Woman in Law
Carlson Caspers partner Jennell C. Bilek, (William Mitchell College of Law, J.D., cum laude, 2010, William Mitchell Law Review, Assistant Editor, Cybaris, An Intellectual Property Law Review, Editor-in-Chief, William Mitchell Fellow), has been named a 2023 Notable Woman in Law by Twin Cities Business. The award spotlights exemplary professionals who handle complex transactions and use their expertise to guide clients through a variety of obstacles. They also serve as mentors, do pro bono work for social and economic causes, and advance diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.
Jennell advises clients on a wide range of intellectual property and legal matters. Her litigation experience includes pre-filing investigations, motion practice, Markman hearings, all aspects of fact and expert discovery, trials, appeals to the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and Inter Partes reviews before the USPTO Patent Trial and Appeal Board.
Additionally, Jennell is an adjunct assistant professor in the College of Pharmacy at the University of Minnesota and is a course director for Law in Pharmacy Practice. She is President-Elect of the American Society of Pharmacy Law. She previously served on the Hennepin Healthcare Foundation’s Board of Directors as chair of the Board and governance committee chair. Jennell also volunteers for the Metropolitan Council’s CAMP Program (monitoring the water quality for one of Minnesota’s 10,000+ lakes). She is co-founder of the firm’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee, and the firm’s member representative for Twin Cities Diversity in Practice.
