Kirk Reilly is retiring from Lathrop GPM on Dec. 31, concluding his successful and well-respected 37-year law career. Kirk joined legacy Gray Plant Mooty 14 years into his law career in 1997 and has remained a significant member of the firm’s Franchise & Distribution Practice Group ever since. Kirk served as a Franchise & Distribution Practice Group co-chair for Gray Plant Mooty from 2005-2019, and is highly regarded for having played a key role in growing the firm’s Franchise & Distribution practice in size, scope and reputation while simultaneously handling numerous litigation matters that helped shape the industry, and cultivating long-term relationships with industry leading clients.
Kirk is a National Board of Trial Advocacy certified civil trial specialist and an International Franchise Association Certified Franchise Executive and has contributed to industry publications including the ABA’s Franchise Law Journal. His accolades include being named the Franchise Law “Lawyer of the Year” in Minneapolis by Best Lawyers in 2013, and to the Best Lawyers’ list for the past 10 years, and a Thomson Reuters “Minnesota Super Lawyer” for the past 21 years. He also maintains an AV Preeminent Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell, a longstanding position among The International Who’s Who of Franchise Lawyers and is a member of the Franchise Times’ “Legal Eagles Hall of Fame.”
