Target’s Law and Employee & Labor Relations Departments are pleased to announce its 5th Annual Target Legal Mock Interview Program. This program is an exciting opportunity for diverse 1Ls! You have achieved major academic goals in your life. You’ve finished your undergraduate degree, you survived the LSAT, you were accepted into law school, and you have nearly finished your first semester. Now it is time to polish up your interview skills. These interviews are not for actual positions at Target, but rather our team’s effort to help you prepare for future interviews regardless of your career aspirations.
WHO: 10 spots are available first come, first serve for diverse (i.e. race/ethnicity, sexual orientation and physical abilities) students at Mitchell Hamline. 1Ls will be given priority; however, upper-class students may still RSVP to be on “standby” if spots open up.
WHEN: Wednesday, January 25, 2017, 2:30 p.m. – 5 p.m. Program starts promptly at 2:30 p.m. so please allow ample time to check-in at registration.
WHERE: Target Headquarters (1000 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis, MN 55403)
DRESS: This is a mock interview and although you are not being considered for a real position, get the most out of the experience and wear interview appropriate attire.
WHAT TO EXPECT: Target’s Expect More. Pay Less. promise has never been more true. Expect More – two realistic mock interviews and feedback on your interview skills. Following the mock interviews you will have an opportunity to participate in informal informational sessions where you can engage with individuals supporting various practice areas or engage with members of our talent development team to focus on soft skills that may better equip you for future interviews. Pay Less – or, in this case, pay nothing other than a bit of your time.
RSVP by January 11, 2017 by sending a copy of your resume in an e-mail entitled, “Target Legal Mock Interview Program” to Jessie Bergman at Jessica.Bergman@mitchellhamline.edu.
The Target Team looks forward to seeing you on January 25th!
Sincerely,
Target’s Legal Diversity Team
