Great Opportunity for Legal Experience: Wheels of Justice Goes to Mankato and Shakopee! Student volunteers needed this Friday, Feb. 10 and Wednesday, Feb. 15.
Be part of the Mobile Law Network and assist low-income people to complete the paperwork needed to begin a divorce. Students will work with pro se clients with Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services in Mankato Minnesota helping pro se litigants fill out on-line dissolution forms with the assistance of a private attorney. Students will gain experience in family law, client interaction, and court forms.
Volunteers needed for a clinic this Friday (February 10) in Mankato from 1 to 4 pm. Up to three students can ride in the RV. MJF will help coordinate car pools for additional volunteers. Please be available to leave on the RV by 11 am on Friday. Additional information will be provided.
Volunteers are also needed for a clinic on Wednesday, February 15 in Shakopee from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. There are also three spots available to ride on the RV for that clinic. Please be available to leave by 8 or 8:30 am. Again, more details will be provided closer to the 15th.
