Stinson Leonard Street Minority Fellowship
The Minority Fellowship offers up to $30,000 of law school tuition
assistance plus a paid summer associate position at Stinson Leonard
Street. A $15,000 payment is made upon successful completion
of Stinson’s 1L Summer Associate Program, and a second $15,000
payment after successful completion of the 2L Summer Associate
Program and acceptance of an associate position. The $30,000 in
tuition assistance is in addition to the summer associate salary.
Do You Qualify?
To be eligible for the fellowship, a candidate must:
- Be a 1L who is a member of a racial minority group historically
underrepresented in the legal profession - Have a strong academic record as an undergraduate, graduate (if applicable)
and law school student. - Be interested in areas of law that match the firm’s practice areas
- Demonstrate strong legal writing skills
- Be committed to practicing law in the firm’s locations to which the candidate
is seeking a summer associate position.
What you’ll need to pull together
To apply for the Minority Fellowship, you’ll need to submit:
- One-page cover letter
- Résumé
- Unofficial or official undergraduate and law school transcripts
- A legal writing sample
- 2-3 professional or academic references
