The FBI Honors Internship Program is one of the most prestigious and competitive internships in the country. This 10-week paid summer experience immerses graduate students pursuing JDs, MBAs, MDs, and PhDs in unique experiences that combine law enforcement with national security and intelligence. Open to all academic backgrounds, the FBI places students in a wide range of fields that match their background and studies. Working with Special Agents and other professionals in our Washington, D.C. headquarters or in our field offices nationwide, students will be able to try out an FBI career and actively contribute to the protection of the United States.
The application is open to both undergraduate and graduate students; however, graduate students will be considered and placed separately from undergraduate students. These are paid internships and the location will be in Washington, D.C. at our FBIHQ J. Edgar Hoover Building.
Some of the assignments the law students performed were: (1) briefings on 2018 SCOTUS and US Court of Appeals cases to our FBI agents and intelligence analysts; (2) briefings on state law issues relative to peace officer status/mental health issues and concealed gun carrying; (3) researching FBI and information sharing post 9/11 with state, local and private sector partners; (4) participating in two physical fitness programs per week; (5) participating in firearms safety and defensive tactics demonstrations; (6) visiting the US Supreme Court and DOJ’s Office of the Solicitor General; and (7) visiting Quantico (FBI Academy) and the Holocaust Museum.
All applicants must download each form, fill them out carefully and accurately, and attach them to their application.
