Hello!
The time is ripe for a fresh approach to mentoring. At Twin Cities Diversity in Practice, we know that it is important for law students of color and attorneys to engage with leaders and each other, share advice and support, and create meaningful professional relationships. TCDIP Connect is how we hope to cultivate and foster authentic relationships across organizations and generations. For many years, TCDIP has been a cornerstone of developing a diverse and inclusive legal community in the Twin Cities. We’re excited to expand these opportunities through TCDIP Connect!
What is TCDIP Connect and How Does it Work?
TCDIP Connect is built by and for attorneys and law students of all experience levels. We are excited to launch the pilot phase of TCDIP Connect after a year of design thinking and development.
Using a structured small group model, the goal of TCDIP Connect is to develop meaningful interconnectedness between multiple people who may not have otherwise crossed paths. The program runs for 6 months (January to June of 2021) and requires a 2 hour minimum monthly commitment. Each TCDIP Connect group will be comprised of a mix of senior, mid-career and early-career lawyers and local law school students of color. Teams will be formed based on replies to our application survey. The program will feature ongoing support from TCDIP Staff, resource guides and activities, and guidelines and internal accountability measures to keep your group on track and engaged.
You can learn more about TCDIP Connect’s core values, structure and timeline by downloading our flyer and visiting our website.
