The Minnesota Court of Appeals is a state-wide, intermediate-level appellate court that resolves appeals from decisions of trial courts in all 87 counties and certain decisions of state agencies and local governments. The court’s 19 judges maintain their chambers at the Minnesota Judicial Center in St. Paul. Sitting in three-judge panels, they decide approximately 2,000 appeals per year. The court is well known for efficient case-processing and for promptly issuing high-quality, well-explained opinions.
