This is a solo-practitioner family law practice focusing on collaborative law and the core principles behind collaborative practice, primarily related to divorce. Collaborative law involves both attorneys and both parties working together to problem solve, coming-up with a plan for the future, while avoiding the courtroom litigation process. Title of Position: Law Clerk
Duties and Responsibilities:
Drafting documents for court, working with clients to collect documents, maintaining online security for private and sensitive data, helping to schedule meetings, setting up and maintaining online client files, working with other professionals as needed including mental health professionals and financial neutrals, possible research, possible content posting on social media sites.
Qualifications:
Interested in working with and learning more about family law. This will be a work-study position.
Location:
The majority of the work will be remote.
Semester:
Open during spring, summer and fall.
Hours:
Estimated 8-10 hours per week.
Compensation:
Compensation will be $20/hour.
