The City of Bloomington is launching a new paid summer internship program for young adults under the age of 25. Applicants must be under the age of 25 and live in Bloomington, MN. Not all placements are law-related, but at least one position is at a local law firm.
Bloom in Bloomington’s internship program seeks to provide young people who face barriers to employment an opportunity to build skills, experience leadership roles, and gain valuable work. The internship experience will run from mid-June to mid-August. Participants will have the chance to engage with Bloom’s Leadership Institute, explore potential career pathways in government, build their resume and develop strong networks.
Qualifications and duties:
- Active participation in the Leadership Institute
- Forward thinking with an interest in learning
- Knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion concepts as it relates to race, gender, disability, socio-economic status, citizenship, etc.
- Duties will be assigned by the employer you are placed with.
