Impact for Equity (formerly known as BPI) has opened its application deadline for the Polikoff-Gautreaux post-graduate fellowship through October 27, 2023.
Impact for Equity annually hires a post-graduate or early career lawyer or policy analyst through Impact for Equity’s Polikoff-Gautreaux fellowship program. The two-year fellowship provides an opportunity to be embedded in one or more of Impact for Equity’s program areas as a staff counsel or policy analyst in our Chicago office.
About Impact for Equity’s Polikoff-Gautreaux Fellowship:
The Polikoff-Gautreaux fellowship will provide individuals with the skills and experience to grow an impactful public interest career.
Fellows receive an annual salary of $59,000 with medical and dental coverage. Debt service on law school or graduate school loans for the duration of the Fellowship may be available, based on need. The Fellowship term is two years.
Requirements for the Polikoff-Gautreaux fellowship are:
- Either a JD or MA/MS in public policy or a related field *(by Fellowship start)
- Demonstrated interest or experience in one of IFE’s program areas
- Accomplished oral and writing skills
- Strong academic record
- Take the initiative, be creative, and be flexible
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a variety of organizations, constituent groups, government agencies, and civic leaders
- Demonstrated ability to self-start.
