The Ramsey County Bar Association has partnered with Mitchell Hamline to provide a fall job shadow program October 16 through 20. All students are welcome to participate through in-person and virtual options regardless of geographic location. Spend a partial day in hearings or client meetings, meet with an attorney one-on-one, or simply spend time networking over lunch. Judges and lawyers from all sizes of firms and public agencies, prosecutors, public defenders, and corporate counsel have all hosted past participants.
This program provides an excellent opportunity for law students to spend a few hours getting a firsthand look at what the legal world is really like outside of law school in one of ten different practice areas.
Participating students will be able to:
- Interact with legal professionals in a practice area of their choice and learn skills needed to be successful in that field,
- Take a behind-the-scenes look at daily work activities involved in that occupation,
- Build their network with legal professionals, and
- Enhance their academic experience and resume.
Register for the program by October 5. You’ll receive information about your match and schedule the week of October 9 from Sabina Zeenat, Placement Service Director of the Ramsey County Bar Association.
