Brad Lehrman, J.D., former pro bono counsel for World Without Genocide, has joined their Board of Directors.
Lehrman has dedicated much of his legal career to human rights and pro bono work, including for the Minneapolis Jewish Community Center, Midwest Anti-Defamation League, Round Earth Media, and The Advocates for Human Rights. A retired partner of Soffer Lehrman Law Group, he practiced in corporate finance and entrepreneurial venture. He received the “50 over 50” Award from Pollen MN and AARP for his significant leadership and contributions to the innovation community.
Lehrman’s affiliation at World Without Genocide began in 2005, with collaboration on advocacy to address the genocide in Darfur. He was a member of the World Without Genocide founding Board of Directors and is responsible for the organization’s 501(c)(3) status and for many of their human rights policies and directions. He subsequently served as pro bono counsel for nearly 15 years. When he retired from the practice of law at the end of 2023, he joined World as a board member. Lehrman is a graduate of Carleton College and Mitchell Hamline School of Law.
World Without Genocide promotes education and action to protect innocent people, prevent genocide, prosecute perpetrators, and remember those affected by genocide. World Without Genocide is formally associated with the UN Department of Global Communications and is in Special Consultative Status with the UN Economic and Social Council since 2022.
