What is the Burger Inn of Court?
The Warren E. Burger Inn of Court is a professional organization of judges, lawyers, law professors and law students in their final year of law school who are devoted to promoting Legal Excellence, Civility, Professionalism and Ethics in the law profession.
Why Should I consider being a member?
You will have the opportunity to meet and become acquainted with judges and lawyers you may never have met if not for this experience. There are nine Mitchell Hamline School of Law student members in the Inn each year. Each student member is assigned to a group (or table) that is hosted by a judge. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet practicing attorneys and judges and build a relationship with other members of the Inn. You will also work with the other members of the Inn of Court on a presentation that your table will present to the Inn membership. Each month a different table presents on their topic. Active participation as a student member is very important to a successful Inn of Court experience. Students are expected to attend all Inn meetings. The Inn of Court meets at the Town and Country Club (300 Mississippi Blvd, St. Paul) from 5:30pm to 8:00pm on the following days:
September 11, 2019; October 16, 2019; November 20, 2019; no meeting in December; January 15, 2020; February 12, 2020; March 18, 2020; April 15, 2020; May 20, 2020.
