Our mission
Mitchell Hamline School of Law (MHSL) is committed to ensuring equitable access to educational opportunities, programs, and services for all qualified students in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the ADA Amendments Act (ADAAA), Section 504 and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Minnesota Respond, Innovate, Succeed, and Empower (RISE) Act, and other applicable state laws. Using a social justice lens, the Disability Services team seeks to create a culture of inclusion that promotes accessibility throughout the campus community.
Fall 2025: Important Deadlines
To ensure our staff can appropriately support students and implement accommodations for students, please follow the below important deadlines:
- Submitting Accommodation Requests: the last day to submit an Accommodation Request (new applications or wanting to update your current Accommodation Plan) is Wednesday, November 19th by 11:59pm CT. Initial meetings will be conducted up until Monday, November 24th, 2025. This timeline is established to allow the Disability Services team to review accommodation requests and to provide ample of time for students to follow appropriate processes to utilize their accommodations.
- Submitting Final Exam Requests: For those of you who wish to utilize your testing accommodations for your finals, please be sure to follow the directions below and submit your final exam requests by Monday, November 24 2025.
- Please know it is your responsibility to submit an exam request through your MHSL Disability Services Student Portal for each exam.
