Public Health Law Center staff attorney Natasha Frost provided two four-hour trainings for public health advocates at the Kansas Department of Health and Environment Policy Training in Wichita, Kansas. The focus of the interactive training was how to draft effective public health policies using an equity framework.

Public Health Law Center staff attorney Natasha Frost participated in a panel discussion at the 2016 Nature-Based Preschool National Conference in Minneapolis Minnesota. Panelists discussed issues of safety, appropriate risk taking, and managing hazards related to outdoor-based preschool programs.

Professor Thaddeus Pope was invited to present to a task force of the Minnesota Medical Association on “Physician Aid in Dying.” The MMA is reconsidering its official position on physician assisted death, particularly since legislators plan to introduce bills to legalize the practice in 2017.
