pleased to present: Industry at a Crossroads: Legal and Ethical Considerations of Selling Pharmaceuticals in 2016 featuring HLI Senior Fellow, Dr. Seth Whitelaw, Whitelaw Compliance Group.
4-5pm Presentation, 5-6pm Reception, Thursday, October 27, 2016
Guests can attend this event either in-person in the MHSL Kelley Board Room or via live webcast.
In this election year, the pharmaceutical industry is taking heat from both Republicans and Democrats over product pricing and rising health care costs. At the same time, the legal underpinnings governing product promotion are under attack, and government enforcement of the bribery and corruption rules, in place for decades is, at best, chaotic.
Pharmaceutical companies face a radically changing economic landscape, patient care is challenged by a shortage of primary care physicians, and educated patients are demanding full disclosure of all aspects of their medical care – including pricing. This talk will explore whether the industry can successfully meet the legal and ethical challenges involved in selling pharmaceuticals or whether it will prove to be a bridge too far.
Mitchell Hamline alumni, faculty, and staff can use the discount code WHITELAWCLE to attend for free. The cost for all other event attendees is $35. Students can register for free through Symplicity.
Application will be made for one standard CLE credit, Compliance Certification Board (CCB) credit, and Regulatory Affairs Certification points.
