Darlene Huang and Desmond Jenson of the Public Health Law Center presented at the 2017 Maryland Tobacco Control Conference co-hosted by the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law Legal Resource Center for Public Health Policy in Baltimore, MD about the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) final rule to “deem” all tobacco products subject to its tobacco product authorities, including the impact of relevant litigation and recent federal regulatory developments on both FDA’s implementation of the deeming rule and state and local tobacco control policy efforts.
