Professor David Larson made ninety-minute presentation titled “Online Dispute Resolution Can Increase Access to Justice in Africa” at Wenzhou University School of Law and Politics, June 23, 2018. Professor Larson describes the experience: “I spoke to a classroom of African students from Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Nigeria and Zambia. I asked them how they feel about their own justice systems and what challenges they believe are faced by those systems. Then we talked about how online dispute resolution could address some of those challenges. The students were excited, and many of them came up to me after the lecture and discussion to say that they were truly inspired for the first time in their legal studies. It was tremendously rewarding, and many students promised to stay in touch.
