INVITATION: 10/5/2023 “Accessibility and Inclusivity” Working Group
Professor David Allen Larson has accepted an invitation to be a Co-Chair of the “Accessibility and Inclusivity” working group, one of five working groups, to support the $24 million Cyberjustice Laboratory grant application for the Canadian Transformation Competition 2024. The working group’s proposed project is titled “Beyond eGovernment: Designing Open, Inclusive, Transparent,
and Trustworthy Communication Between Citizens and Public Institutions Using a Virtual Public Service Agent powered by Responsible Artificial Intelligence.” Each of the five working groups will have 8 to 12 researchers. The virtual public service agent will be implemented in close collaboration with the Quebec government and will provide reliable, tailored and secure information to citizens using recent advances in LLMs.

Professor David Allen Larson presented “International Dispute Resolution and Development: The Technological and Economic Perspectives” at the 2023 Taipei International Conference on Arbitration and Mediation held October 25, 2023 in Taipei, Taiwan. Professor Larson discussed lessons learned from his experience as the System Designer of the New York State Unified Court System Pilot ODR Small Claims Project and Website Accessibility for Persons with Disabilities.

Professor David Allen Larson virtually attended the October 30, two-hour, Paris, France global launch of a two year project as one of the drafters of the ICC Guide to Disability Inclusion in International Arbitration and ADR.
