About the NALS Advisory Board
The Native American Law and Sovereignty Institute advisory board provides strategic advice on the work of the institute, including but not limited to: recruitment, retention and graduation of Native American law students and graduates; development of curriculum and conferences; connecting with the alumni of both legacy law schools and the merged Mitchell Hamline School of Law; partnering with local and national initiatives supporting Native American law and sovereignty issues as appropriate; and building strong relationships to the eleven Tribal Nations in Minnesota, as well as regional and national Tribal Nations that are represented in the law school community. The advisory board was launched in July 2022 to provide community engagement, alumni input, and knowledge and expertise from the inaugural members.
